I am a half marathoner

Yes, I completed 13 miles today and I am fine. I have been looking forward to this run all week. I did very well today. I had my ipod with techno music. I also found a running buddy, Elena. We motivated eachother and finished the run. It was fun. I increased my run interval this week to 2min and 10 sec of runnning and 1 min and 30 secs of walking.
I motivated Elena to stick to the intervals and she increased my running pace. She was chitchattin the whole way about different things that are local to Tucson. It lifted my focus from running and the miles went by so fast. We were cheering every time we switched from run to walk. We did 50 repetitions of these intervals today.
If somebody were to mess with me, he/she would sound the timer beep and I will start running irrespective of where I am and what I am doing!! Its kind of like the dog, food and the bell experiment.
Anyways, I got up at 4:30am and made it to the park at 5:30am. We were told that there might be rains today and we should continue running since the rain will only let our body cool down. We would have stopped only if there was lightening or flood.
There was no rain today but there was cloud cover for most of the run. From the rains yesterday, there was water flowing in the river path from the mountains heading west. We saw the head waters hitting the dry path when we were between Oracle and La Cholla. It was surprising that the water took so long to come from Catalina and Rincon mountains.
It was nice to run alongside the river. We were even tempted to find a float to see the speed of the water and compare our running speed with that of the water.
